A Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is a provider that is authorised to deliver nationally recognised training in Australia. RTOs are regulated by bodies such as the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and must meet national standards to ensure quality and consistency across the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The College delivers nationally recognised qualifications and short courses designed for the volunteering and community services sectors.
Programs include:
- Certificate I, II & III in Active Volunteering as well as the
- Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs
- Professional development options aligned with sector needs.
All students enrolling in nationally recognised training must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This acts like an account number that tracks your training records and qualifications, and it is required for both enrolment and certification. In order to create a USI, you’ll need to provide some form of identification such as a passport, drivers licence or birth certificate.

Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) is a way for individuals to have their existing skills and knowledge formally recognised—whether these were gained through work, volunteering, or life experience.
It allows learners to receive credit toward a nationally recognised qualification, so they do not need to relearn what they already know. This can save time and help them move through their course more efficiently.
Credit Transfer allows learners to carry over units or qualifications they have already completed with one Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to another. To be eligible, the unit codes must match exactly (e.g., HLTWHS001). When this requirement is met, the unit can be credited—meaning the learner will not need to repeat it.
Help is never far away. We offer a range of support options, including phone and email assistance, face-to-face sessions, and webinars. The support available may vary depending on your course, but you’ll always have access to expert guidance when you need it.
It is important to remember passwords or record them somewhere safe but if you accidently forget, you can use the Forgot Username/password facility. The auto response generated may land in your junk or spam folder so check there too.
We aim to mark all assessments within 10 working day turnaround.
As your trainer may be delivering training sessions, we allocate marking to other highly qualified trainers/assessors. This approach supports compliance requirements, enables moderation and contributes to our ongoing continuous quality improvement processes.
Once you successfully complete all course assessments, your file will be reviewed, and the certificate issuance process will begin. While this can take up to 30 days, we strive to complete it sooner wherever possible. Please note that delays may occur if your invoice has not been paid or if a valid USI has not been provided. All certificates are issued electronically and include signature verification and security features.
